The Exorcism of Molly Hartley


The Exorcism of Molly Hartley is a 2015 American supernatural horror film written by Matt Venne and directed by Steven R. Monroe. The film is a sequel to the 2008 film The Haunting of Molly Hartley. It was released on Digital HD on October 9, 2015 and on Blu-ray on October 20, 2015.

After causing a botched exorcism that resulted in the death of a fellow priest and a pregnant woman, Father John Barrow (Devon Sawa) is committed to a Catholic mental asylum. Chaplain Henry Davies (Peter MacNeill) informs him that the Vatican has revoked his status as a priest. Meanwhile, Molly Hartley (Sarah Lind), the morning after celebrating both her twenty-fourth birthday and becoming the youngest partner in her firm, is arrested after police inspecting her home after a noise complaint finds the corpses of the two friends she engaged in a threesome with the night before. While interrogating Molly, she hears strange noises before she begins to have a deeper voice and refers to herself as "we". She is sent to the same mental asylum for psychiatric evaluation under Dr. Laurie Hawthorn (Gina Holden), but her condition worsens after an insect-like creature enters her body.

Hawthorn looks through Molly's past records and diagnoses Molly's symptoms as her subconscious fulfilling a claim she told her high school guidance counselor that she was claimed by the devil on her eighteenth birthday (which explains the sudden change from an average student to becoming academically successful) and describes it as an incubation or pregnancy for six years, six months, and six days. However, after supernatural occurrences happen around Molly, who is forcibly bound to her bed in solitary, Dr. Hawthorn begins to believe in demonic possession. With limited options, she asks Barrow to perform the exorcism in exchange for signing his release forms. Though he initially refuses, after the suicide of an asylum employee, supernatural occurrences, and seeing Molly for himself, he visits Davies, who encourages him to help Molly, handing him his clerical attire and the items he needs to perform the exorcism. On the last day of incubation, before going to Molly's room, Barrow sees several people clad in black standing outside. Barrow manages to perform the exorcism, trapping several insects that come out of Molly's mouth in a special box, which he keeps in a container filled with holy water. Molly recuperates in a shared room, thanking Barrow for saving her. Dr. Hawthorn signs his release papers, but as Father Barrow walks out the asylum, patients and orderlies stare at him.

I love Monster, Zombie & War movies

I love Monster, Zombie & War movies ...I wish this movie could have decided what it wanted to be. Were the real "Horrors of War" your fellow soldiers attitudes? How they treat civilians? The decisions you must make to redeem yourself and save others? Mad Scientists? Nazi Mutant Zombies?  French Werewolfs? Well, I was really hoping for more of the latter 3, (and more gore) but this could have worked as regular a war movie with any Nazi super weapon, the monster element seemed tacked on (especially there whole werewolf part, it seemed very much a pointless sidebar). I'd have rather seen more of a real Monster threat in a war setting.  The monsters came one at a time, and slowly. there wasn't much of a perceived 'Monster threat' leading to a big showdown, the big showdown was...well, awkward. Out of nowhere the Mutant Mad Doc and Werewolf start fighting, and the werewolf dies like a vampire...then after the "sacrificial choice", between a fam...

Rather Pointless Men Behind the Sun Retread The first Men Behind the Sun marked the beginning of the Category III (CAT III) movies, the extreme graphic violence and the historical theme made Men Behind the sun going to the highlights, apparently, it grossed enough money for make a "sequel". https://365movies.is/ Men Behind the sun II is directed by Godfrey Ho (remember Ninja Thunderbolt ? Ninja Terminator ?), the greatest Hong Kong B-movie director. This is more a remake than a sequel, with the only difference is that we don't see the cadet's "point of view". Men Behind the Sun II is the most violent and nasty (at least in my opinion) of the whole Man Behind the sun Quadrilogy, it includes the most disgusting autopsy scene ever filmed. The special effects are realistic, shocking and gross. The English dub is cheesy. Worst WW2 movie ever

Worst WW2 movie ever Oh well, here I was, seeing the high rating and reading about Nazis and werewolfs. Well, there are probably some Nazis in it. I guess. From the bad acting, they could have been drunks in German WW2 clothings. About that WW2 factor: That were some of the most awful WW2 combat scenes I've ever seen. The special effects sucked big time, the sound effects were so damn wrong, and the CGI muzzle flashes and blood gave me the rest. Oh, but wait, there are monsters too. Monsters that looked as horrible as in Uwe Bolls infamous House of the Dead. Was I scared? Yes, that this horrible bad movie will never end. From the crappy intro to the long awaited end credits, this movie is an awful war movie and an even more awful horror movie. Do yourself a favor and run if you see that movie. If you like the WW2 themed horror movies, there are better titles of that genre available. Most of them aren't good, but at least they are better than this crap. This movi...
